how on earth did they get Jason Lee?

I actually rented this because I thought it might have some funny twist with jason lee in it but wow... this is one of the worst movies i've seen in a while. jason lee really sold out on this one.... i didn't mind he did "heartbreakers" cuz it's funny, but this must have been some money thrown at him. has he commented why he did this??

He made it for his 4 year old son, he said. Becuase most things like Earl, arent really aimed at 4 year olds

Look in the trivia section. It mentions how he found out that Bill Murray turned down the role of Dave and he thought, "I'll accept a role that guy turns down."
