i went into thi expecting a boring movie but it turned out to be extremely funny and good but the only thing that bothered me was that they should have made it more sa like focusin on queen latifahs character losing her kids after they got caught

Not all critics hated it. It got mixed reviews but most critics are hard on most films and actors nowadays. With Katie ofcourse their standard is super unrealistic as if this girl made this film eyeing the Golden globes,SAG or Oscars. You can tell the cast had a blast making this movie,they were family.
The audience I was with had a blast too. People were laughing even with the scenes of Katie and I was surprised to see men in the audience and laughing too.
Ofcourse these are not teen boys but adult guys who have great taste in films and appreciating clean humor not the tacky sleazy ones Hollywood offers this generation.
Thanks for posting an excellent review of the movie audience. We too went to see it and the people were laughing out loud. After years, I watched it this afternoon because it is raining,. I still love it. It's a comedy and a great escape.
