Can someone tell me the difference between this film and "Arn the Templar"?
I thought this was supposed to be a sequel to the previous film, but everything I've heard and read suggests it the same movie, just with more footage.

I dunno really, I'v watched both movies, well.. I'v "jumped" through them.. got bored and just watched the more interesting parts. To me the movies look pretty much the same, even the end battle was the same battle, just a bit altered.
It feels like they realised they failed with the first movie and tried to make a do over changing some stuff here and there and then calls it a sequel, really confusing to me.
Well, of course it gets confusing if you only watch parts of it.
Yes, this is a sequel. The first film follows Arn's childhood and youth plus his time in the Holy Land. The second depicts the time from his return home until his death.

I think there where an international cut where the 2 films where cut together.
Maybe you guys saw that cut?
tom-molin.....I believe you are correct. I just watch Arn - the Knight Templar, which just came out via RedBox. I shows the Crusade, the Templar's defeat, Arn's return and the battle he faces at home. After reading about both movies, I think the one I just saw is the two movies together.
