I'm sorry but I Loved it. . .

I know I'm probably in the minority but I really enjoyed the 17 episodes and found myself wanting another season. I agree it's not Frasier in terms of the classy style of writing but it's a different kind of show. I chuckled along to chuck and the gang on more than a few occasions and with all the serious crap that's going on in the world today I believe we need more light hearted shows like this for a bit of innocent escapism. There's too many serious shows on TV these days, like 24, Lost, Flashforward, and not mention all those boring hospital dramas, I mean how many can we have on our channels? House, Greys Anatomy, Holby City, Casualty, ER, Nurse Jackie, c'mon. . . I'm not saying they're all bad but what happened to the mindless cheese of the 80's like Knight Rider, The A-Team, Streethawk, Automan, Hardcastle & McCormack, Riptide, Dallas, Nobody makes shows like that like anymore which is a real shame.

Anyway, I've had my say and I'm sure there are not many people that agree with me?

Ok, vent over!

No need to apologize, for I loved "Back to You" as well. I haven't even seen most of the shows you mention because they seem to have elaborate casts and plots, and I don't have the time or interest to devote to keeping tabs on them all. There are too many shows these days with pretty young people and their romances and too few made for those in their 30s and older.

"Back to You" had a very appealing ensemble cast, clever writing and genuine laughs. Considering the show was yanked so soon, I suspect it would have been even better had it been given time to mature. Sadly, it didn't happen.

Back to You was a terrific show. First off, FOX was the completely wrong network for it. FOX appeals to stupid teenagers for American Idol and mindless action freaks for 24. CBS would have been perfect. CBS always answered to a little older of an audience. I think viewers would have eaten up Back to You on CBS. The acting was great, the writing was brilliant and it was real.

"Back to You" seems totally made for CBS. I'm surprised it ever aired on Fox. It was way too high-brow for those bottom feeders.

I just finished the last episode and I too loved it. Really too bad it was canceled so quickly.

As someone who works in at TV news station, I did like it. The best line I heard came from Ty Burrell in the first episode where he says he's going to do a live show in front of an empty courthouse to add fake drama to an otherwise boring story. He became my favorite character in the show because of that.

I loved it too. I thought it was very funny, and had a lot of potential to grow. Kelsey was great in it. I'm very sorry it didn't last longer. I love sit-coms, my favorite kind of tv-shows, and think it's a shame if there's no room for it in the world today.

You're not alone. I just decided to give this a chance and bought the DVDs and I'm sorry I didn't watch it sooner! I'm already on episode six and wishing there was a second season -- I don't think I've ever laughed at a pilot episode like I did for this one, absolutely hilarious!
