good,educational understated

I am surprised that this got such little critical praise.
It was not an action packed drama but it was worth watching.
The story of dedicated British medical staff and volunteers is an inspiring one.

This film made me proud of Britain's role in World War 11 but of course most of the films that are made about the war are set in America,I understand why this is the case but it is nice to see a non American story.

Well said. This would make an excellent movie as well, just because they had a local truce w/the Nazi's and the war wasn't over. Hell all the Swastika flags, the germans still w/their weapons and more. Besides all the characters in this film could make this into a brilliant movie, or preferably a mini-series event. I would just call it Bergen-Belson. *beep* gets all the attentionn but this is just as a compelling of a story. Here's hoping someday, we can get a definifive collection about all the concentration camps and who was in charge during the time, how the were liberated, so on and so forth.
