First Post! Serious commentary lol...

I thought this film would've been discussed by now lol.. Attractive cast, decent publicity in the gay market at least from what I've seen, appealing story.

This movie was good. Not great, but you care enough and relate to the characters. The only downfall is that it packs a lot in it, which is typical of a lot of (bad) gay movies. I won't give anything away, but you know what I mean: hiking up the melodrama.

But this movie is shot so beautifully and for the most part very well-acted, particularly by Nicole Bilderback, who is totally grounded, smart and interesting, that you just forget the flaws, and want to see what happens.

Anybody with a good group of friends and is growing up in the adult world (i.e., prolly in ur later twenties and higher), can relate to the friendship dynamics of this movie.

My main question is though: would you have been that angry at Andrew at the end like everyone else in the movie?

I guess the movie didn't have time to show how friends get mad and try to MEND their problems, and just cut to the chase.

What is a "gay movie"? Yes, there was homosexuality in this film but there was some heterosexual activity as well.

Edit: I just watched some of this again and you are right that this is a "gay movie" in that Andrew and his new friend are so over the top macho that they are clearly repressed homosexuals.

Not Andrew! He stood up for his gay friend. But Andrew's new friend Louie obviously had a problem. Remember the comment he made in the bath about the gays there? I was wondering why did Louie even went in there again?

By the way I liked the movie too. Not great but entertaining and good, did resemble parts of my life more than BIG CHILL which was a film about a group of friends that I did not relate to.

Great acting by all involved. Ryan Locke as Andrew, Nicole Bilderback as his girlfriend Julie and Andrew Wei Lei as Tony were my favorites.
