Spinoff of "What's Happening"?

Did anyone see Rerun or Rodge? I was waiting almost the entire movie for one of them to show up and say something sassy. Pretty frustrating that I waited 30 years for this continuation from the hit TV sitcom and the main characters don't even show up at all. I mean seriously, at least get Shirly in there! Something tells me M. Night doesn't like black people.
