A 10 out of a 10 - Pure Arthouse Genius!

I've just seen the movie at a German festival.
And I've seen a lot, including 30 of Ingmar Bergman's works and a wealth of so-called Director/Auteur films from Europe over the decades.

This is not only great fun from start to finish but also on highest intellectual level. Connaisseurs of the "arthouse scene" and friends of all the latest hilarious "real life/in your face comedies" will be reminded of the equally brilliant "Festen" by Danish Dogma filmer Thomas Vinterberg.

The video rentals and racks in media stores are full of decent, small independent films, in Europe as well as in the rest of the world. What sets this one apart from the rest is its strong narrative and rigid focus on the actors. Faces and brillinat story telling dominate in a tight dramatic structure throughout the film. No dramatic gaps, no bore on the way, this one will keep you laughing until you cry of laughter and hit the floor (I did).
