mid-30's Selma playing the daughter?

I don't get it. Molly Shannon (Kath) is only like 10 years older than Selma in real life.

SO what? Hanna Montana's brither is like 30. What's the problem. and she's more like late 30's. Everyone on Saved By The Bell were way older than highschool age. Why is it suddenly an issue?

They're actually only 7 years apart, so yes it's pretty strange. There's a significant difference between a group of people playing younger characters that are the same age and 2 people playing mother and daughter that are 7 years apart. Not really a valid comparison.

No she isn't she is supposed to be like the teen ala Britney Spears when she brokeout on her first album at age 17, which is odd she would be cast playing a role half her age.

Probably one of the reasons the show failed. They seem more like sisters, age-wise.

The original actresses who play Kath and Kim are like the same age haha.
But I guess they pull it off

Jane Turner and Gina Riley (the only Kath and Kim that will ever matter) are only a year apart..

Silly Americans, trying to translate an Australian show.. Molly Shannon, i love you, but god... just awful.

Not only that, they did an episode set in the future with Kylie Minogue as Kim's daughter. Minogue is the same age as Riley and Turner.

Selma could pass for 19 or 20. Amazing looking.
