They are 2 excellent movies but not the same time ( fg 36 is during the events of 1936 ) and 36 quai des orfevres is in actual time...
Faubourg 36 brightly tells us about the fight of unemployed men for mounting a show about their own life ...
The filmmaker is Christophe Barratier , who "offered" us, before, LES CHORISTES...

There were many elements of this movie similar to "Quai Des Orfevres" made in 1947. I'm not talking about the recent remake with Gerard Depardieu which had the number 36 in the title.
The original was in black and white about the backstage life of a music hall in Paris and a murder involving an affair between a married female singer and a sleazy movie producer.
