What happened to Nora?

I'm in total agreement with those commenters who enjoyed the movie. Is it me, or was Nora Arnezeder (as Douce) absent from the final scenes? If so, does anyone know the inside story?

10 years had passed. Nobody knows for sure what happened to her or Milou. Did they marry? Are they still together? Did they move? Do they still work at the theater? Who knows?
I think the final scenes are all about Pigoil and Jojo.

My guess would be they got killed in the war. It's a bit weird they weren't present or mentioned when Pigoil got out of jail. He did after all go to jail for saving Milou's life.

Well, we know that the Chansonia is still a roaring success, and Douce had been a major part of that, so she may still be performing there. But ultimately the film is about Pigoil and his son, so it ties up that loose end.
