Would have been a good film if not for a few things

1) All the nudity and sex scenes
2) The blatant promotion of the homosexual agenda
3) The promotion of underage drinking. I couldn't believe it when the mother bought beer for her daughter and the daughter's lesbian lover, both of which were clearly under the minimum drinking age of 21
4) The title is stupid. Moscow is in Russia, not in Belgium. I remember it from school, and I checked on Wikipedia to be sure http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow. And then Europeans say that Americans are bad in geography!

Also, why was everyone speaking a foreign language? Who was the genius behind that decision?

There is a place in Ghent Belgium called Moscou. People in Belgium speak ider Flemish, which is the language spoken in this movie, Frensh or German.

Just watched the DVD. [Jan 29, 2010] Wondered what the language was bc some French in there. But the DVD back cover says the language is Dutch. But I thought that was odd since it takes place in Belgium. So I looked up Flemish on Wikipedia and it says, "In English usage, Flemish (Dutch: About this sound Vlaams (helpĀ·info)) can refer to

1. Belgian Dutch (About this sound Belgisch-Nederlands, the national variety of the Dutch language as spoken in Belgium,be it standard (as used in schools, government and the media)or informal (as used in daily speech, "tussentaal ")
2. East Flemish, West Flemish or French Flemish, related southwestern dialects of Dutch."
So I guess the DVD cover should have said Flemish/Belgian Dutch for the language instead of just Dutch, right?

That's like complaining that the packaging of a pizza should have said "Mozzarella"/"Pecorino cheese" instead of just "cheese"...

Ever encountered a DVD cover that says "language: American English" instead of simply "English"?

I haven't seen the movie, but being a Belgian I can tell you that:

3) The minimum drinking age in Belgium, like in most of Europe, is 16 or 18 depending on the beverage. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_drinking_age)
4) There is indeed a district in Ghent called "Moscou". (Search "Moscou" on the wikipedia page for Ghent: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghent)

And finally, people in Belgium speak either French (South), Flemish (North, in this movie) or German (East). English is also very common in Brussels, because it's an international city (European institutions, NATO, ...)

Hmm your post is really idiotic. (I'm not saying you're an idiot)

1) Nudity and sex happens in real life, european movies like to stick to reality in stead of showing an abundance of surreal romance or violence
2) There's nothing wrong with homosexuality.
3) Underage drinking in Belgium is under 16, this will be raised to 18 in the future.
4) "Moscou" is a neighbourhood in Ghent.

Are you stuck on stupid?? You can't possibly be serious. And your name gives you away - "Bob Sacamono" from Seinfeld.

Mr Saccamano's remarks are clearly of an extreme funny (let's make that: stupid) nature.
I live in 'Moscow' which is merely the real name of a suburb of Ghent, a beautiful medieval town in Belgium.
And yes, we can drink alcohol under the age of 21 here and be gay all at the same time. Oh dear, what a libertine country this must be.
Thank God he does not understand the 'foreign language' we speak over here.
It happens to be our native language. How strange is that!
