Still an awful film.

Terrible CGI, mediocre acting, forgettable characters, THE most laughably bad portrayal of high school in cinematic history, a hipster Peter Parker who’d rather blog about memes at Starbucks and play bass in an indie shoegaze band then fight crime, lackluster directing, and a godawful screenplay. What’s there to like? Marc Webb was clearly only chosen for his last name. The only thing he does better than Sam Raimi is his portrayal of Peter and the love interest. Everything else is awful.
