should i see the movie even tho ive never seen a superhero movie before?

You might as well. 

I haven't seen that many superhero movies myself, but out of the ones I have seen, The Amazing Spider-Man makes good viewing. (Though other posters might tell you to forget it and see the Sam Raimi version instead.) I actually got sleepy during Man of Steel. Unless you're a Batman fan, you might find Batman Begins too long. I can't comment on the "Avengers" movies as I haven't seen any of those.
