6.9?? I think this one is clearly underrated...

For me "Green Zone" is one of the best modern-war movies of the last 10 years, if not the best. A good story, lots of realistic action, fabulous acting, powerful characters, great locations... and a mind blowing background based on the real causes of the Iraqi war.
The only thing I didn't like is the excessive grainy image, which I guess was intended for giving it a more realistic touch, but IMO punishes the viewing experience. But this is completely secondary.

I gave it a 10. Paul Greengrass is one of the best active directors. Green Zone, The Bourne saga and Captain Philips are not a mere coincidence.

Yep. I watched it and was surprised how well the film was done. Not only the suspense, the thriller part also the political part. It raises good questions about the war in Iraq.

I'm guessing this film was scrubbed because the political mainstream establishment doesn't like films like these to question them. Same happened with Michael Bay's 13 hours, which tells the story of Benghazi.

I concur. The film exposes the bitter truth of the lies and manipulations which led to the Iraq War and that might be the reason why it's not so popular with the critics and or the general american public.

Yeah, a solid flick this one. Just watched it for the first time and regardless of one's stance on the politics and whether or not you regard the story and reasons for war the film gives as "realistic", it's a well made war movie and among the better modern examples of this genre.
