This movie need to be in Top 250. It's one of the best movie I've EVER seen.

It was in the top 250. But has since got pushed out by ridiculous super hero films. Just shows you some peoples poor taste.

I think people rate that film high because Heath Ledger was beyond brilliant in it. His performance saved it.

It's not in the top 250 because few people (out of the general population, I know there are fans of every type of entertainment) are interested in the personal lives of ballet performers. Like going to a symphony, it's considered entertainment for the 1%, and most people don't watch it at all. I'm not rich, but I do know a few people who do profess to enjoy watching ballet, but do so in order to intentionally try to imply that their tastes in art are more impressive than say, someone who likes to watch movies; basically, snobs. So, basically, rich people and snobs who pretend to themselves that they're better than others. Not a real lot of people who's lives anyone admires.
