shareMovie is quite clear. Nuclear doom (the way the city looks), neverending, total war (L85A1-likes show it started in contemporary times). City looks like a New York, but no islands can be seen - London? And the creature at the end is autonomical, self-guided killing machine, idea and feeling of this film is a copy of Philip K. Dick's "Second Variety" novel, and rest is looking like a remake of "Screamers", based on it. But still, feels good.
