Something's gonna come along...

its one of the only thing that interests me about the film... actually scrap that its the only interesting thing... i really don't know but i like to think its some kind of ominous evil alien creature or technology... anyone else have ideas?

At first just the way it was low to the ground and rattling, it reminded me of the small little cars that are supposed to travel along the surface of the moon or mars, but that thing violently smashed a car out of the way, which makes me think it was probably bigger. And like you said it had a very ominous feel to it. I don't think it was a creature or anything but I can't imagine it was anything the soldiers wanted to see.

as much as I find this film visually fascinating... it has no story and to be able to use an actor like cillian murphy and then not use his abilities at all...

kind of unfortunate i would say.

I think it was some kind of future tech human vehicle rather than alien. The reason why I think so is because those three soldiers got scared by corpse of a sniper. Why would they get scared by a human when the enemy were aliens? Also, the masked soldier in the beginning was clearly sniped by a scoped rifle - aliens would probably have some other kind of weapon.

Did you notice that once the sniper was recognized as a dead human body, it was no longer feared? A live human sniper should be feared as much as whatever killing dynamo was focused on finding the radio caller.

How did aliens get into the plot? They aren't needed, when humans are capable of generating maximum fear. Humans are always the scariest monsters in reality.

Kind of reminded me of Sam Raimi's "EVIL" in the Evil Dead movies. But hey, he took it and made it his own.

Seemed like a teaser for a much longer film. I would like to see it expanded to feature-length.

Amazingly, the fact it had no story didn't bother me at all! I just wish it had been longer. Not necessarily feature-length, maybe 30-40 mins?
