So...what happened to the hittchhiker?
They never exactly say. Did she run off after doing whatever with the Warden? I doubt the killer got her (Didn't know where she was, and the killer was preoccupied), and she never appears again...

The nighttime scenes begin with Jimmy, Michele and Amanda drunk - reading from their old yearbook in front of the fireplace - and Tyrone is nowhere to be found (much like when he'd left to chop the wood and cut the tires; or used the restroom and knocked BJ unconscious).
When the group runs into the game warden later at night - he mentions that he'd just dropped the hitchhiker off a few hours before at the base of the trail - hence that's the exact time Tyrone was missing from the group.
When they come across her body - there's also a flashback to the wine cork (which is stuck in her neck) sitting next to Tyrone.
