...that Tim seems just a smidge meaner? Mean isn't the right word, he's definitely not mean. I guess just more outspoken to the makeover-ee and a lot less tolerant of their neuroses. It's not a bad thing, but it's kind of funny to see him get to the honesty a whole lot quicker than he used to.

I think it's may be a little bit more obvious, since they seem to have candidates that seem more apprehensive than in the first season. In the first season I can only remember one person with a difficult attitude.
The first season seemed to consist of women that just didn't know how to dress and who were appreciative of the advice and guidance. While the second season seems to have women that first need to work through some personal issues before they appreciate the advice.
May be it also seems that Tim is more firm in this season, because his co-host is much nicer than the previous one. Veronica was her name and I perceived her as extremly bitchy, which is why Tim might have come of as very tame.
Gretta is so much nicer and she is a much better fit for the show. I'm glad she joined.
