just... Bran

I don't hate the finale like so many. It's not my favorite, but it doesn't bug me. Game of Thrones was often a show where a season's penultimate episode was the most thrilling, the climax of the season if you will, and the finale more a denouement. So I wasn't surprised.

But... Bran. I mean really? That bugs me most. It's hard to argue he has "the most interesting story" when they benched him for Season 5.

Beyond that. He might (?) have an extended life due to being the Three-Eyed Raven, which doesn't seem like something they'd be searching for in a new monarch of Westeros.

Also, he's all-knowing, and could keep secrets to have things go how he wants. And he can't really be made to answer to anyone. I don't think these are necessarily things that any other characters or people in the audience think really *would* happen, but the fact that they *could* makes you think they'd steer clear for sake of decorum, because even without reproducing, these could still lead to bad things. And of course some would probably dislike the North being independent

Bran is a byproduct of an underdeveloped cosmology that is GRRM's world in ASOIF.

It really doesn't matter what happens next because there's no true cosmology to answer to.

I was just thinking this the other day; the 'person' they pick for King by justification of "he had the most interesting story" was literally such a 'non-essential' story they could get away with removing him FROM AN ENTIRE SEASON. I mean that is just not well thought out at all.

Another thing frustrating about it; Bran had nothing to do with the 'game of thrones'; his story was supposed to be beyond the political and about facing the existential threat. Which was why he turned down being King of the north "I can't be king of anything now, I am the 3-eyed raven" (Oh but being king of the 6 kingdoms he was almost expecting? "why do you think I came all this way") but not only all that but he played almost no role whatsoever in ending the existential threat (he did nothing more than serve as glorified bait); and that is the plot his entire story was tied into. for f' sake Arya did more to fight the walkers than Bran did and up until literally the last season Arya didn't even know the White Walkers existed.

So damn stupid it hurts my head.
