Weird angle framing for King's Landing (facing East)

I always found it weird how in the TV series when they portrayed King's Landing it always looked like it was facing West out to the ocean instead of East like they do when they film movies and TV shows about NYC, Boston or Miami.

Anyone else get that impression?

Not really, I always got the impression that it was facing the Narrow Sea instead of Blackwater Bay. The mud gate seems to change location though and it's tough to pinpoint exactly where that is after Season 2.

The overhead shots of King's Landing in the later seasons show a vibrant tropical hilly environment outside of the walls, then in Seasons 7 and 8 all of that turns into desert and much flatter terrain. Weird!

Just another glimpse of the incompetence of Double Dumb.
