1-4 near perfection.
5-6 fantastic considering less George R R Martin material to work with
7 Rushed and unsatisfying for the most part
8 A near total disappointment save for the Roasting of King's Landing which I thought was absolutely fantastic.

Volley - agreed.
Season 7 wasn't that bad. A little rushed with a couple of really implausible moments - How did Gendry run so fast to get help and where did the night king get that huge chain?
Season 8 - I agree with most of the story arc but felt it was to rushed to the point it left some watchers confused. Dany going nuts didn't surprise me (starting in S1 when she nonchalantly watched her brother killed) but you still rooted for her because the people she killed were bad. Why Tyrion turned on his friend Varys who saved him in S4 seemingly so easily, after Jon killed Dany, suddenly we were at Dragonpit deciding his and Tyrion's fate. These seemed too rushed and should have had more character development.
