Lady Stoneheart

Will she finally appear in the finale? ;)

reply

Well...since Jon will probably kill Dany, and Jon doesn’t want the throne, maybe she’ll show up, tell him how much she regretted having been so cruel to him and then take the power herself :p
I‘m sure that would be a total show-winner!

Imagine if Arya had arrived in the riverlands to murder the Freys and found them all hanging from trees instead of the tacky fanservice that we got.

reply

Fan service?
It was fantastic ..
That guy was such a scum sucking bottom feeder and it was high time he got his due.

reply

I guess I'm just not the target audience for nu-GoT. I liked the fact that bad guys won sometimes and didn't get anything out of the cheezy revenge plot

reply

The bad guys win enough..and if you like characters it's kind of nice to sometimes to see the "good guys" get their due by winning. Not always but at least some of the time.
That's probably why the revenge genre is so popular. The bad guys ass gets kicked..finally.
And the redemption genre is popular because people want to believe in second chances.

If the bad guys always win then it become nihilistic..and that's a depressing point of view to me.
I don't expect all happily ever afters but getting in a few good kicks works wonders.

reply

I love how they ended them! That's why I'm saying...every one of the bad guys got their due nicely in this show...except Cersei.

reply

That would be cool, maybe in the finale

reply

But of course! As an escort to Syrio Forel.

reply

All the walkers are gone. Poof!

reply

The final scene of the show will reveal Stannis (apparently Brienne didn't kill him) and Syrio (apparently Ser Meryn didn't kill him) pulling Catelyn Stark out of the Trident, and then Syrio will resurrect her. The last image will be Catelyn's eyes opening.

reply

No.

They've got two hours for Jon and Dany to become enemies and declare war on each other, and for the Iron Throne to have one or more new occupants, and for the seven kingdoms to be divvied up among surviving characters, and for everyone left standing to go home and make a new life and marry some other character or not. There is NO room for new plotlines! Hell, there isn't room for what they're going to jam into those two hours, it'll be like watching up a fast-motion Benny Hill sketch as it is.
