Couldn't Bran have told them about the destruction of King's Landing?

Didn't we get a glimpse of his vision with the shadow of the dragon over King's Landing already? He must have known.

reply

But then he'd be useful, and that would make him totally out of character!

Bran never does ANYTHING useful with his powers!!

reply

That could have been his character arc. He goes from being a useless character to someone with use after all.

reply

Some of the things he saw he didn't know what they meant. Especially when he was still learning what he was going to become.

reply

That easily could have been in the past, considering everything else in those flashbacks were in the past, including the Mad King, Eddard and Rickon Starks getting executed, etc, etc.
Or do you want to assume that not a single dragon flew over the King's Landing in the past, NOT ONE? How long did Targaryens rule over Westeros?

reply

Repeat after me - "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future", "He can't see the future"...

reply

I see a subliminal message here. You mean....he can....SEE the future??

reply

Nice effort, but it probably still won't sink in for some people.

reply

What are you trying to say?

reply

If that's true, then when the final confrontation with the Night's King came, why did Bran look at him like: "Ho hum, my sister is about to kill with the Valerian steel knife I gave her a couple of episodes ago, because I knew she'd need it to kill you"?

Hmmm?

reply

He was like the whole episode. Everyone had Valeryan steel or dragonglass, did you forget that's the only way to kill a Whitewalker and their summoned wights?

reply

Jojen said that the Three Eyed Raven can see past present and *future*, and now Bran is 3ER. Bran dreamed of oceans flooding Winterfell before Theon raided it. Also, he glimpsed that image of a dragon flying over KL, and the shot of Drogon flying over KL matched it almost perfectly. So, I think he can only see glimpses, but not a whole picture.

reply

Remember back when the Night's Watch were going to attack the mutineers at Craster's Keep? Jojen had a vision that Carl Tanner was going to die that night and that his body would burn, which he was right about. Assuming that Bran has the same abilities or better, it might be more than just a glimpse, although perhaps it depends on how far into the future it is. Either way, I think he should have been able to see King's Landing's fall before it happened.

reply

Betcha real money that Bran and Sansa step off a ship in King's Landing next Sunday, because he foresaw the debacle and said they had to go deal with it.

This is a guess, not a spoiler, because everyone will have to be there for the big finale.

reply

I figured it out, Bran will sit on the Iron Wheel Throne and name it Hot Wheels!
