Jon and Dany’s “love” = unconvincing

One of the biggest downsides of the rushed pacing of the final season is that I don’t believe that Jon and Dany have the kind of deep, loving connection that the show is trying to sell.

It’s kind of a big deal since, as it turns out, the entire show hinges on their relationship.

yeah, like so much else down the stretch here, unearned.

I blame Kit Harrington. He is a terrible actor.

That's as rushed as her insanity. I honestly have no idea why they put them together as a romantic pairing in hindsight. Just wanted another Dany sex scene I guess.

The chemistry between the actors is non-existent. If the runners of the show were planning on shipping Jon & Dany together, if their love has been the most important thing about uniting the armies, then they should have chosen actors with better chemistry. Just one of the many disappointing things.

I totally believe that two beautiful young heterosexuals who haven't been laid in months or years would be very attracted to each other! And since they've been on their best behavior with each other up until now, and have shared some extremely trying experiences, I also believe that their sexual attraction would deepen into something that can fairly be called "love", and which certainly would have led to marriage under more normal circumstances. I also believe their marriage would have been fairly happy if they'd been left alone, as Dany likes to order people around and Jon likes to do what he's told.

Do I believe they're soulmates? No. But then, most happily married people aren't soulmates.
