Sansa is truly the only one fit to rule and sit on the Iron Throne

Seriously. She has come a long way from season 1 and has grown so much, gotten smarter, learned to play the Game of Thrones, has a very level head and has been proven right over and over again in many instances.

She is very much the perfect candidate to rule the seven kingdoms. Give her the throne and make Catelyn proud.

reply

Good chance she will... although as queen consort, rather than ruling queen. Danerys isn't going to end up ruling, Jon doesn't want to be king and nobody is going to believe his claims to be a Targaryan who was dead for three days so his desertion from the Night's Watch doesn't count, so it isn't plausible that he'll end up as king either.

Tyrion is the next of kin of the last monarch, Cersei's last surviving close relative, and he's quite competent to govern when sober so the easiest thing for the lords of Westeros to do is confirm him as Tyrion, First Of His Name. And to agree that his marriage to Sansa is valid, because she's also competent to rule when he isn't sober. Which after yesterday's episode, is going to be more and more of the time.

Except she is not a heir to the throne, and she betrayed her own brother by telling Tyron who Jon really is.

reply

Dany betrayed Jon by wanting him to keep his heritage a secret after all, he's the rightful heir to the throne. Not her.

reply

In the extremely unlikely even that Jon gets acclaimed king and either dies or gives up the throne after... isn't Sansa his next of kin?

Although at this point, I think Jon will end up as king whether he likes it or not, with Tyrion and Sansa co-ruling if he doesn't.

The iron throne is a heap of melted iron at this point. Not sure why anyone would want to sit on it. Dany will rule from Dragonstone.
