Prediction for the iron throne

I believe we will get a final scene where Varys is sitting on the iron throne with his legs widely spread, you can see up his cloth and he has balls, he’s had balls the entire time. They’re huge. He’s not even a eunuch. He’s played everyone and won the game

That would be incredible.

Remember that conversation where he told Melisandre it would be a good idea to leave Westeros, and she said she'd be back one last time? It was her fate to die there - just like him. You got the impression Varys knew exactly what she meant because he didn't say a word. At some point it appears he's planning to lay down his life. For what purpose, and exactly when, we don't know. Out of all the characters on the show is it any great surprise he'd be the one keeping critical secrets about the war or ancient prophecy, to be revealed at the proper moment?

Yeah I found that scene very interesting. And when she said she'd be back, the look he gave her when he said "MY lady" suggested that her coming back would be a bad thing for her. Always found that weird, as I don't know why he would think that. So maybe you're right, that he is privy to some very important information like an ancient prophecy.

Varys knew perfectly well what she'd done, and why she was avoiding Jon Snow. I'm sure he had agents in Stannis' camp when Shireen was burned. So he also knew Davos would gladly tie the noose himself - and Jon would probably let him. I couldn't see Daenerys taking kindly to her presence after hearing that she'd burned a child to death either. Being roasted by a dragon would strike her as poetic justice.

The implication is that Melisandre has one last task to perform before she dies. The thing she's been kept alive all this time to do. Whatever that is. Varys has always been somewhat vague about his background, very deliberately. I'm guessing that nothing he's actually said was untrue. But he's never gone into a lot of detail either. We may find out he became the head of a secret order (founded by the original Azor Ahai perhaps) that's been preserving ancient knowledge and traditions, keeping an eye on things, biding its time and waiting for this day. Hence the pervasive network of spies at his disposal.

ewwww

If that happens, I want to see him do a Sharon Stone Basic Instinct style uncrossing and crossing legs (no homo)

reply

In theory, he'd be the best ruler of any of them because his loyalty is purely to the realm and nothing else, not his own personal ambitions or his family's name and legacy or his children (obviously). Simply what is best for Westeros.

reply

Sadly, I bet this would be a far better end than whatever they have planned for us.
