George RR Martin always said that the ending would be ''bitter-sweet'', but the scriptwriters have now deviated from his books, so will the major characters be ''killed off''?
I get the feeling that this series, like the last two, will see characters dying.
But will many survive? Who?
I think it's inevitable that some characters--major and minor--will die by the finish of the show; it's one of the things GOT is known for.
I wouldn't be surprised if Dany and Jon (Aegon) BOTH died and Sansa wound up on the Iron Throne (Bran is the next male heir after Jon's lineage will disqualify from him being King of Winterfell but Bran won't take the job). It still might be Jon, but GRR Martin has all along made women in this story more powerful than the men are so I'm going to go with Sansa. Basically, aside from Jon, there are no other male royals left who are likely contenders for the throne.
Hopefully they all die right after the opening credits, along with the next 7 episodes.
