This news was very disappointing to me. It's like they decided to take a big shit on all of the fans.

reply

Yeah, it's a bit disappointing. I was expecting the first 3-4 episodes to be 1:30 and the last 2-3 episodes to be 2:00.

reply

So they lied about that too. They made it seem like the last season would be all movies longer than each of those episodes.

And that's with Missandei/Grey Worm bullshit.

I agree, Jaqen, to whom I’m replying even though MC’s joke of a system dumped my reply here. The final season has roughly 70 percent of the editorial content of all the previous seasons. It also has what is probably the heaviest narrative burden of any season in the series. Are they going to use digital technology to time-compress the chapters? Unlikely, because compressing a 90-minute chapter would raise and not reduce production costs; so they just shot less stuff, which means less story, which means less value, which may well mean a dreadful, cynical final season, and an opportunity to have been legendary sacrificed on the alter o Mammon.

I hope not, but i’m not confident.

They've said the Winterfell battle will be a 55 minute-sequence. I feel like that will be Episode 3. Makes sense, gives a few more for the White Walkers to get to King's Landing, which is where it's heading. Probably why Cersei's staying, make it more dramatic when they appear

reply

Extremely disappointing. There's a 0% chance this gets wrapped up satisfactorily
