Sometimes wish Daenerys's side could be less honorable, would've been so easy for them then to use the walker as a surprise attack and kill Cersei and the rest and then claim the throne. But, not their way.

reply

She could have just claimed it was an accident, as the Walker takes Cersei by the throat. Would anyone seriously bat an eye other than maybe the Mountain and Qyburn?

reply

How would they know it will run straight at her?

reply

I would say they didn't "know," but it was a safe assumption. After all, the Hound opened the box directly in her direction. I feel like the Walkers will generally just run at what they see first, not going to really take a look around and formulate a real plan.

All Daenerys had to do is claim negotiations where not working get up with her crew and walk away then turn around and tell Drogon to Dracarys the crap of the Lannisters and co.

reply

If shes going to take that approach, why negotiate at all? One flyover "dracarys" would have taken out Cersei's and her few supporters, then all Danerys would have to do is March into the throne room and declare herself queen. Nobody would argue.

Honestly, thats always been the best way to win the throne with the last list of life, a surgical strike against Cersei's and Kyburn.

reply

yeah but maybe Danny went in with good intentions (after listening to Tyrion) but then she saw in person what bitch Cersei was and that negotiations would not work.

reply

Exactly. They would have only needed a couple of brooms to sweep up the ashes afterward.

It would have been dishonorable and possibly a religious thing (like violating "guest right"), but how could it be worse on either count than murdering scores of people in the church itself with wildfire like Cersei did?

reply

There was an inconsistency in that scene. The Mountain is Cersei's protector. No way would've he allowed the walker to get that close to her.

And she would've been pissed at him for letting it happen.

reply

Haha I think of that pretty much every time I watch it as well.

reply

I've noticed that as well, Zombie mountain doesn't even move as the walker launches towards Cercei.

reply

White walker is a Zombie Bro.
Zombie Mountain roots with his kind.

reply

This has nothing to do with Dany and company being honorable, BUT... that was a wight they showed to Cersei. Not a walker.
