It won't make any difference. It's not ending due to a lack of popularity.
It's ending so it can go out on top and to allow everyone involved in it to move on.
This next season will be the last season regardless of what we may want..
I wouldn't sign one if there was. Let the story come to it's natural and, and not be drawn out for financial reasons.
Any more than they're already doing.
There will probally be prequels at some point, I'd love to see the adventures of Dunk and Egg or Targaryen stories from the World of Ice & Fire rather than made up stuff.

Yeah we'd have the same problem with lack of material though, three stories at present for Dunk and Egg isnt enough.
HBO could do more with the House Targaryen but it would require making alot of filler up!
Robert's Rebellion could be cool too, I like the casting choices of young Ned, his sister and Prince Rhaegar in Game of Thrones.
Rebellion story would be amazing...but i think they are skipping it
