Remember when an episode like this would crash IMDb?

It's so much better that Jeff Bezos shut down IMDb and sensitive types have their safe space. Who wants to talk about an amazing episode with hundreds of fans when you can talk to a handful over a few hours?

reply

yeah its just sad

reply

yeah it breaks my heart, the way IMDb destroyed so much conversation and fan interaction :(

but this place while not even close to the same level is at least something.

Hasn't IMDB's traffic dropped dramatically since they torpedoed the message boards?

reply

I'm not sure i think i heard something about that a while back.

reply

I don't think so. I saw a graphic a while back from some tracking website (not sure how legitimate it is). Apparently traffic skyrocketed right before the boards closed and it's now slightly higher than it was a few months before the announcement. Meaning closing the boards didn't help them much but didn't hurt them either. Which is a shame because I really wanted them to regret it.

reply

Lol I wanted them to regret it too.

reply

Amazing episode?

reply

Yup
Big eps of BB, GOT and TWD would often crash IMDB
Good times...

reply

I'm shocked to see this page here busy as it is. This qualifies as intense traffic these days.

I really miss the nonsense chatter for reality and competition shows as well. Those don't get discussed at all here.

reply

Yeah peeps are chattering a lot which is nice!
I just wish more IMDB posters would pop up here...i miss a bunch of them!

reply

It sucks that no site has come close to replacing IMDb. Jeff Bezos burnt it to the ground because people dared to voice differing opinions and because there are people so fragile they couldn't hit the ignore button.

What a shame but it's all too typical of the times we live in.

Fucking rich people...
Always fucking it up for the small folk.
History repeating itself over and over and over.
