so that's it for episode 5??? possible spoilers

I'm sorry it's not a smarter post but really?? Disappointing! Only 6 episodes and this is second to last and basically nothing happened other than whole lot of talking :((( I thought at least the east watch fight will happen today... [spoiler]If the leaks are correct basically the only thing left this season it seams is the group beyond the wall trying to catch that one wight, maybe few people dying during it... and that's it till season 8. :((( this small seasons are really too short!! [/spoiler]

It funny, some people find it too fast paced while others bemoan that its too slow. I sort of half agree with you. I don't mind talky episodes. In fact I like them a lot when we as the audience learn something new. The problem with this season (IMO) is that a lot of the quieter exposition moments between characters is exchanging information that the audience is already aware of. Watching characters catch up with the audience is boring.

I didn't mind it either until now, I actually enjoyed slower pace, it gave the show it's vibe and ability to build atmosphere and characters and quality instead of rushing and making things superficial. I don't like that. It's just this season is so short and so many answers we want and things we want to see can't happen now obviously and now we'll have to wait another year, it's just frustrating :) as they did pick up the pace this year I hopped the east watch will resolve this episode, I didn't know that will be the main event. and it's exactly like you said there have been no big revelations, so that's why I feel this episode was a bit of a waste

I was saddened by the House Tarly deaths...but it showed that The Mother of Dragons is not joking around
Also, Dickon died like a boss
He followed his cranky/awesome army leader pops to the other side like a champ... For what THAT's worth
Dickon ...his name was DICKON !!!!! lol

I was more saddened by House Tyrell demise, while I respected Tarly I did not like him as a man, or how he betrayed Tyrells so.. karma. His dickoff now...

The wall is coming down and after the final battle with the white walkers if the living win the War there will be no need for the Nights Watch. If all goes well Sam will be free to go back home.

I liked some scenes like Jon & Drogon, and the return of Gendry, but this cockamamie plan to capture wight to show Cersei, just strikes me as stupid.too many good characters are going to die on that quest. They could have just borrowed one dragon.
