Euron's battle prowess

Killing two sandsnakes AND beating Yara/Asha is pretty impressive.

Can anyone confirm from the books that he is indeed a very skilled warrior? I cannot remember it from the books (I thought it was his brother Victarion who was a beast with an axe, according to the books). I also know that the sandsnakes and Yara are supposed to be pretty lethal as well.

Hence my surprise when Euron seems to take all three of them down
