Anyone else rooting for euron?

Killing the two sand snakes was the most satisfying thing I have seen in this show. That was so awesome. He avenged the prince of dorne. He could probably find a bunch of allies in dorne now that he has captured the traitor ellaria. Big euron fan now! I wonder if cersei will summon Martel loyalists to her aid now that ellaria has been captured! Huge

reply

That was awesome. I was only disappointed that he didn't kill his butt ugly annoying niece as well. Hopefully she will die soon.

reply

So you’re rooting for a murderous traitor because he kills murderous traitors?
*raising*one*eyebrow*spockishly*
It is not logical.

reply

It's the Internet. Logic doesn't exist and the crazy roam free.

reply

Yes but euron murdered balon who was a dbag. Oberyns brother and nephew were good people sand snakes murdered them for lust of power.

reply

And Euron murdered his brother (granted, who was a douchebag indeed) and ordered to kill his niece and nephew the minute he was chosen to be king because he has no lust for power but… errrmmm… because a man must do what a man must do! Yes. Of course.

reply

Yeah it went down bad. The iron islands people are just so uncouth and raunchy it's hard to care about them. Euron is the natural pinnacle of their culture. The prince of dorne were learned men of peace who could have changed things for the better. I'm just thrilled that sand snake got choked out. Favorite part of the show to date. I really liked oberyns brother as he represented dornish honorable history much more accurately than the snakes.

reply

Cheering for the drunken sailor who amassed a thousand ships in 4 weeks time? Yeah, I guess I would too.

reply

No. I don't root for classless assholes. Then there's the practical problem that none of his subjects would EVER be able to address him as "Your Grace" without laughing hysterically and winding up impaled on a spike, and reasonably soon Euron would find that he has no subjects left.

reply

He should end up on the Iron Throne.

reply

He's more of an Iron Horse kinda guy. Who knew there were bikers in Westeros?

reply

I would like to see Euron hook up with Cersei and then choke her out. After the bedding ceremony of course.

reply

Yes this would indeed be epic. If there were no dragons or white walkers I could see the next logical step would be euron consolidates dorne by turning over the last sand snake to the dornish Martel loyalists (who aren't even introduced in the show and books haven't been written yet) and he gives ellaria sand to cersei. He beds cersei hard and then chokes her out and takes the iron throne with the dornish army. And then Jaime goes into exile and plans to avenge cerseis choke out by going to war with euron. But they are wrapping things up so they apparently are pretending dorne was not loyal to the Martel prince

reply

The wedding of Euron and Cersei would be epic! A hilarious cornucopia of ludt, greed, and contempt, followed by the bedding ceremony, followed by a desperate scrum of bedroom murder attempts.

My money in on Jamie running the SOB through with a broadsword. He's a jealous bastard.

<< Anyone else rooting for euron? >>

He's a pig. So, No.

And...he bailed on his country then waltzed back in when it suited him like nothing mattered.

Skanky little Johnny-Come-Lately.

reply

Not rooting for Euron, no, he's a nasty character. But I hated the sand snakes too so I can't say I felt bad about their deaths. I liked Doran, and hated the way they just murdered him and seized power. And their whole vengeance crusade was unjustified because Oberyn wasn't murdered; he volunteered to fight the Mountain, and the only reason he lost was because he was more focused on making his point than actually winning the fight. So, good riddance to them.

reply

I agree. Their ideas for vengeance were just stupid and illogical. And to avenge him they decide to murder Oberyn's brother and nephew, both people he loved dearest to him? The whole reason Oberyn died was because of his need to avenge his sister, his family. So how does it make sense to the Sand Snakes to kill off the rest of Oberyn's family for his sake?

reply

He's a caricature that is impossible to relate to, so no.

reply

I like that about him. Not trying to relate. Although the way he spoke to cersei was epic
