Mindblown. That is fooking obvious now that I think of it
Its a crazy theory, but it just builds on the Tyrion is a secret Targaryen theory and its positives and negatives.
A huge negative of that Tyrion theory is that Aerys exhibited a pronounced lust for Joanna Lannister at Tywinn's wedding. The oldest Lannister kids are the twins, not Tyrion who was born many years after the wedding. With Aerys, you would expect impulse control to be poor and that he went ahead and interfered with Joanna around the wedding and thus the TWINS are more likely to be Targaryens than Tyrion based on that. And its true, the twins' physical beauty,and their feeling that they are the only partners for each other seem almost innate in the books, and these incestuous feelings may be clues to their Targaryen ancestry. The personality of Cersei seems quite Aerys like does it not?
Cons to this theory, that the twins are the secret Targaryens not Tyrion, include that Aerys refused to let Rheagar marry Cersei, saying she was not Royal and opting for the Martell marriage: if Cersei was his daughter, Aerys would have been ok with it, he purposely had Dany so Viserys could have a wife or Rheagar if Elia Martell died. But no he did not allow the marriage, that is inconsistent, Aerys would have been glad for his daughter by Joanna to marry Rheagar I would believe, it is what Targaryens do after all.
So...Tyrion is a secret Targaryen versus the Twins being Secret Tarygarens versus all 3 being Targaryens--all possible, anything is possible in GOT!
To me, Tyrion was the most obvious secret Targaryen because of the Dragon obsession, the mismatched eyes, the platinum/blonde hair and the fact that Tywinn had withdrawn from court as Hand when Tyrion's birth approached. Did Tywinn do that because of his humiliation that Aerys had raped or seduced Joanna and the child was not his?
Also....what about Dany's vision in the House of Undying of a beautiful blonde woman raped by DWARVES? Could this be a part of Tyrion's origin, that Aerys did some magic trick to camouflage Tyrion's Targaryen blood? Think about it--Tyrion is the one with one deep purple/black eye and that mixed blonde and platinum hair, that mixed yellow white hair is a Targ trait too. Dwarf stature through magic may have been a way to disguise this. That vision was always weird...like wtf?
