I Hope Nothing Awful Befalls . . .

Arya

Briennne

Jon Snow

Podrick

Deny

reply

At least 2 or 3 of them will bite the dust.

reply

I expect so, but there are fates FAR worse than death. There is also a glorious death. I'd like them all to survive and thrive, but I want none of them to go through anything agonizing or humiliating--like getting shot to death on the toilet!

reply

I agree. Assuming Deny is Dany, of course. Add Tyrion and Bran to the list, and we're all set! (No more suffering, that is. Most characters have experienced some pain already...)

reply

You assume correctly. I thought her name was spelled Den ... and didn't know it begins Daen...

reply

It's alright. I read the books, so I know roughly how the spelling works, lol.

reply

You think the Imp will expire? I think he will get his vineyard in the end.

reply

I suspect he'll end the show as either Hand of the King, or King of the Westerlands if the central government falls and Westeros goes back to being seven kingdoms. I'd prefer option #1, he's so obviously the one person on the show who can administer a large country.

My bet is on Arya having a heroic death, she's become a remorseless killer and I don't think she can be redeemed.

reply

Nooooo leave Arya and the Hound!! 😭😭😭😭

reply

George said he had to write some very tough deaths for the Winds of Winter, if memory serves, more death is coming--and it's not just winter.

reply

For me, Tyrion is the one I really don't want anything to happen to. Definitely my favorite character. This is also the reason why Oberyn's death was the worst moment in the series for me; I thought Tyrion was going to get it then.

Varys too. Varys is my second-favorite. I find him so entertaining. (Also, as a side note, I think he was badly underused in the last season; I had been looking forward to seeing him governing Meereen with Tyrion and becoming spymaster of that city as he had been in King's Landing, and he ended up not doing too much and not having much screentime.)

In this show, one can't pick too many characters to hope nothing happens to, lol.

reply

Some pretty bad stuff has already happened to them both, but I agree they are intriguing characters that should survive the series.

reply

Brienne and Deny need to be whipped.

reply

What about Sansa?

And Jon Snow can't be dead, not again! Hmm, maybe he will live forever and be cursed to become the Ice King!

Sorry, I mean the Night King.

reply

One ore more of those will Die. this GOT after all. I just Hope Dany ends up on the Iron Throne but that's also very unlikely and would make too much sense.

reply

This is GoT, where they kill off central characters all the time. Add to that, we are coming to the crescendo, where we can expect DandD to stack the bodies pretty high. So, I would expect at least a couple of those people to not make it to the end.

reply

To repeat: dying is not necessarily awful. There is such a thing as a glorious death.

reply

Dear God, please don't let Littlefuckingfinger kill Arya. She deserves a glorious death!
