Once again, I never said good graphics make a good game. For the one-thousandth time, I say good -gameplay- makes a good game. Obviously you aren't paying attention to anyone's responses.
And people do love the PS3 and the 360. That's why they've -already- bought them. The N64 was a good console, but people just don't buy it anymore beacsue they already have it. Or maybe they don't buy it because it's a little more expensive.
Quite a few people care about Halo 3, Call of Duty, and Gears of War. That's probably why they sell so good. But I guess the whole game of the year stuff doesn't really mean much to you. If it's not for Nintendo then obviously it isn't good. How moronic of you.
And I'm sorry, but Call of Duty( You know, based on WWII) is not mindless. I'd like you to say that to a veteran. And Halo and Gears of War aren't mindless shooting. Sometimes the story gets a little strange, but at least it's not as mindless as Mario where you jump on things to kill them and you fight a big turtle. I think the problem is, -you- are mindless.
And I'm truely sorry you don't understand what a polygon is. I figured my statement was pretty self-explanitory, but it appears you just don't know what's going on.
So, I will explain my statement about the polygons. My brother owns a rather large television and he owns a 360. I often go to his apartment and play Call of Duty with him. When I see that game, I look at the screen and think it's rather amazing how real it looks. I also have a friend that owns a much smaller television and he owned a Wii. (He sold it because it was so crappy, but he kept his 360.) I used to plpay Wii with him, but it was a little sad. Even on the TV less than half the size of my brother's, I could still see the individual polygons on the screen. If you don't understand what a polygon is, then I suggest looking it up. I don't really feel like explaining it to a child today.
In Halo 3 you're not a soldier. You're a traveling salesman distributing death in bulk.
