Does anyone else think this movie sucked?

This movie was awful, really sucked. This is tough for me to say because I thought the others were all great.

Absolutely, Phoenix was the worst HP yet, and it's all going downhill from here. That's why I plan to download the next two Potter movies over the internet rather than seeing them in theaters.

I watched the first five minutes and all of the glaring mistakes totally turned me off. I couldn't watch anymore. I think it was horrible.

Although I am an adult with preteen and teenage sons and have seen all the previous HP films with them, I was totally irritated at spending $8.50 each to see this movie! If my sons had not been with me, I would have asked for a refund. My son's, who said they liked the film usually rate HP films with a 9 or 10 out of a possible 10, rated this film a paltry 7 or 8.

My first clue that the word had spread that the movie was not very good was the movie theater was only about 20% occupied for a Sunday matinèe . When we got a refill on our tub of popcorn as we left the movie, the 16 year old clerk handed our popcorn to us and said "enjoy the movie". I remarked that "We did not" and then added "We just finished watching Harry Potter and thought it was horrible". He responded "That's what a lot of people were saying!"

BTW, we bought 2 copies of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows" the day before; actually 5 minutes after the sale started.

I thought far too much of the book was cut out and it felt like a cliff note's version of the film.

sadly, the fifth movie was a disappointment (as compared to the first four). i hope the 6th one will be dealt with better, bec it's obviously one of the most important installments

Im only seeing it as a movie that needed to be made for the next 2, I really wish that david wouldnt make the sixth one, I want ASlfonso for 6 and chris for 7

I did not feel the movie "sucked". when I see a movie that I have read the book I am generally disappointed. HP or not. In the books we can bring our own imagination into it, ufortunately, the director brings his own creativity into it and not our own. The graphics in this movie were the best so far I thought, especially at the end. This movie is very dark overall but the over all tone of the book is very dark, but the same theme has been carried throughout the books and movies, good always wins over bad and focusing on making good choices. What better message to send to the youth today. It is what it is. Comparing the book and the movie out side of a general theme is a mistake and you will always be disappointed. I think they should put "based on" if they don't already.
