Salt (2010) much better than Bourne Legacy (2012)

If someone is looking for a Bourne fix, along the lines of the original trilogy, I would strongly recommend Salt. Angelina Jolie basically plays a female Bourne, and does it well.

My opinion is that Salt has a lower IMDB rating than the terrible Bourne 4 because, just like Tomb Raider, films with a female lead get down-voted on IMDB.

Salt was better than Bourne Legacy for me, but not that good.

Salt pretty good. Bourne Identity better. Others in the series, your call.

Salt is obviously not as good as original Bourne, but a helluva lot better than Bourne 4.

Yep, this^

The are some contrivances that hurt the quality of Salt, but aside from those, it's more realistic (not necessarily better) than the Bourne series (perhaps tied with The Bourne Legacy). It's worth mentioning that the Jason Bourne story is, in a very odd sense, kind of like a politically correct version of Salt, in that The Bourne Identity invariably would have been inspired by activities associated with the Kremlin, the Soviet Union, its puppet regimes or its satellite states yet applied to none other than the United States government instead. However, there's merit to the largely fictional premise, since it allows us to imagine what it feels like to have a government that secretly commissions such dubious programs and experiments in the name of either national security, strategic advantage, global supremacy or world domination. I just get tired of it so frequently being the United States government rather than ones more likely to have the character associated with ultimate state power. At least with the Bourne series, the secret programs are not used against the domestic population, like they would in a distopian setting.

I rated both Salt and Bourne 4 a 4/10. I guess they are equally bad.
