The quality of the TV cartoons and the Dragon Hunters movie is just the best! Very "Heavy Metal magazine" quality of SciFi / Fantasy.

The two Heavy Metal movies should have been like that. Unfortunately they were mostly very poor adaptations of the comics.

sharelol, that is one of the fist things I thought when I first saw this film. The original Heavy Metal was and is awesome and has a nice gritty feel that I love and think works fine. HM2k though might have been better off with a style more like this film as some of the visuals are just gorgeous.
