it´s all fake!

well, not all, I just wrote that to get your attention. But I do believe that in almost every clip, the sound effects are dubbed over. You know, all those cameras in stores and stuff don´t have audio I think, so all the sound effects have been added afterwards to make it more suspenseful less boring. And obviously the music as well, but I guess that´s more acceptable.

This trick is super-well done, but it can be detected if you´re aware of it. Notice how they re-use the same punch-sound for punches, and sometimes the same screams for men and females(all of which can be found in the hollywood sfx archive).

Think about imagine. Imagine the clip youre watching silent, and then try to count up all the added effects. They even have angry-crowd noises for some of the riot-clips! It probably makes the clips more fun, but it distorts reality in a way that I think is highly questionable, especially when considering the subject matter.

This has started to ruin the show for me, since it makes me wonder how much more of it is fake.

So what if some of the dubbed over audio is fake. They have to add a little drama to it to make it more appealing.

I still watch it and I will continue to watch it.

I've notice some of the things you mentioned. The funny thing that comes to my mind is the guy that is supposedly in every helicopter in the show. They even make his voice sound as if he's talking on a radio. And the moderator uses a bit of hype. He says the suspect "Narrowly misses" when it's not all that close etc. Still, as a retired police officer I enjoy the show.

"I got blood all over my camera.
Glass lodged in my hand!"

That was during a hail storm. Actually the footage itself was really exciting but that was the worst voice over I have ever heard. I don't usually say this but the actor should be shot. XD

The episode started with a brutal fight. Well just one guy kicking another guys ass. Actually it was funny because the guy held onto his juice even as the guy beating him practically suplexed him head on. He got knocked out cold in the end though and lost his juice I'd assume.

Some of it's fake and some not. Still I'd say out of these types of shows this one ranks high on the scale.

Some of it's exaggerated or fake but not all are fake.

In some places you cannot legally record audio without the consent of a party to the conversation. The dubbed videos are probably from those jurisdictions based on the recollections of the clerks or whomever sold them the video.

I came on this forum EXACTLY because I noticed that the gunshots literally SOUND TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. They sound like clean really crunchy nice-sounding gunshots suitable for a movie or video game!

I've never fired or heard a gun in real life but I assume it doesn't sound so amazingly pleasant, and would be more annoying to the ear!

But then I'm wondering, the voices all sound like they are actually from the scene, but if the gun sounds are fake that means the dialogue has to be fake too!

A lot of the footage on these shows would be very easy and inexpensive to fake. Just set up a security camera in the kitchen of some restaurant after it's closed, have some actors in there pretending to be preparing food, then have one spit into a pot of soup or spill something on the floor, scoop it up, and pour it into the pot, and you have a good clip that'll have viewers glued to their sets and talking about the show to friends the next day.

EVERY U.S show is edited exactly the same way. I'm surprised you're not used to it by now. It's everywhere!
