Clowns have always freaked me out

Clowns have scared me since I was a kid. I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it's left-over from Stephen King's IT scaring me pretty well (the book, not the movie) or something I saw as a kid. I probably still have the clown issue after doing a paper on John Wayne Gacy for a Psychology/Criminology class and learning more about him than I ever wanted to. Whatever the reason - when I first heard about 100 Tears, being a horror movie fan, my hate/love relationship with clowns and loving a good scare I had to see it. Netflix just released it for streaming.

Fans of old-school, gore filled, bloody horror films that don't bother with PC rules, will love it. Decapitations, disembowelments, limbs removed and tons of blood and that's within the first 5 minutes. The black guy didn't die first and a girl in a wheelchair gets her head removed - 100 Tears is not for those easily offended.

The acting for the most part is pretty bad although Kibwe Dorsey who plays a detective and Jack Amos, our killer clown are actually pretty good. The story line is predictable and pretty much every horror movie cliche' makes its way in. All-in-all it's a fun movie and a good way to kill some time.

And yes, the clown is creepy but then aren't they all?

so there's this documentary about a clown called mr. tickles or something. it's about a real clown parents hire to scare their children who are bad kids. it's an interesting thing to think about, why are clowns scary to people? i remember when i first saw a clown at a circus i wasn't scared, but through time clowns were depicted as evil and scary so then i started seeing them as scary and bad. and ever since i started thinking this way i haven't been able to stop. so, what is it about clowns that is scary to people?
