just wonderin if this is tie-in homage to King's 7 book saga. the tower scene kind of reminds me of it. than again, it also reminds me a bit of the movie The Wizard of Oz, too. Or is it an allusion to Tolkien's The Lord OF The Rings? perhaps, it's just a mix all of them.
And of course, the final scene reminds us of Back To The Future and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

shareDespite what the other guys say, I'm kind of wondering that myself. Because the whole thing does kind of have some similarities to The Dark Tower and to the poem that inspired it: Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came. The main character goes on a journey to a Dark Tower with some friends and loses them along the way just to make it to a Dark Tower and we have no idea how it turned out. Very similar. One confirmed similarity as said on Wikipedia, is that the floating door was in The book called "The Drawing of the Three" Good to see someone else other than me noticed the similarities

They even say in the video commentary for "Skrales" that the doors were and homage to The Drawing of the Three. I'm also pretty sure that the look of the tower and its surrounding are also an homage to the series.
