I've watched all ten seasons of Stargate SG1 and just bought Continuum but can't find Ark of Truth anywhere so I'll order it online. Would it matter if I watched Continuum before Ark of Truth and do either movies refer to the storyline in the other movie?
shareI don't believe the movies reference each other specifically, no. The two movies happen at different times in the stargate chronology (about a year apart, I think) but if you're watching them out of context with Atlantis and all that then yeah, you can watch them in whichever order you want.

Watching Continuum first won't be a problem. They are not related in their stories at all.
So if you are thinking of buying it on DVD or Blu-ray, then go right ahead.
The Ark of Truth follows on from the last season of the tv show with the same storyline from the last 2 seasons so yeah i would wait and watch that first

The only issue is you'll watch Continuum, which is OK. Then want to tear out your eyes following Ark of Truth.

Ark of Truth takes place after the end of the series SG-1.
Continuum takes place after Sam is relieved of command of SGA at the beginning of season 5.
Everyone is correct... in other words, is viewing order important to you? If not, then watch them in either order. If order is important to you, then watch Ark of Truth before Continuum.
