Teal'c's white hair streak - fake fake fake

In some scens it looks like paper mache or a piece of plastic stuck to his head

Heh. I think it looks OKAY. My problem is with the Ori staff. It looks like a prop from a party city during halloween time. Was it really that hard for them to get real wood?

It reminds me of when there would be a Superman comic story where he would be drawn to look older and had a white patch kinda like that. It looked fake in a comic book even... just looks so weird to for T to be older and I think that adds to the white streak not looking real too.

More of T kicking butt!

It was stuck on, Ben Browder mentioned filming a scene where Chris J was talking and Ben noticed that the white streak was hanging down, Ben just reached over and stuck it back into place.

I think he said something about this scene being included in the 'filming of' section in the DVD

Would it have hurt them to use some washout dye or spray painted the streak on?

reply

Oh, it was his hair...
I thought a space-skunk was stuck to his head...

his hair with the grey, looks a lot better when Teal'c went to Atlantis, the long hair there actally suited him

It looked like it was velcroed in place. I kept wondering why they didn't just dye his own hair?

When I first noticed the streak it looked like it was only on one side, then a few scenes later it was on the other side. Eventually it looked like it was supposed to be on both sides.

Personally I preferred when Teal'c was bald. I know later in the series he grew his hair back but I forget if they gave any reason.

Christopher Judge was tired of shaving his head every year when production started. It was simply a matter of convenience for the actor, not the in-universe reason.

I liked the streak, but they could've done it better. It looked cheap at times.
