The adrenaline dodge

please someone help, ive spent hours pressing/toggling/wiggling around/ banging the analong stick and tapping O but I STILL cannot master this dodge. When I play I always end up just doing acrobatics.

God, anyone who STILL cant master this shouldnt be playing Tomb Raider...Anyway squirt...when a signal flashes over an enemy's head let that enemy charge towards you, when its close enough the screen will go blury and time will slow down, a command will also pop up on the bottom the screen, when all this happens at once, press a direction with the analog stick (preferably either left or right)and o at the same time....Lara will jump out of the way of the enemy in the direction you pushed and TWO target symbols will show on the screen coming together, when they meet on the enemies head a single RED target symbol will highlight and 'beep' sound will be heard...the second you hear that beep sound press R1 to fire

This got me for ages, until you are really forced to learn it during the centaur battle.
The booklet forgets to mention you have to have your target lock on too. For some reason I had to alter the controls in the options so the lock on was on 'advanced' then it worked no problem for me. Really it should've been made clearer. The TRex battle without it was not fun....

It was a pain in the ass to first learn how to do it successfully, but after that I got the hang of it. It's Simple really.

i still havent worked it out for the pc:(

Yes, I agree with a previous poster in that you really have to learn it when you get to the centaurs.

On the PC, you need to have your guns out and do the following:-
When the enemy is enraged and starts charging at you, everything will slow down and become blurred. Hold the direction key and the roll key (shift). Now I do mean hold and not tap. Two grey targets will come together and become red and there will be a beep noise. That beep is you cue to shoot.

Note: the direction is different depending on the enemy. Some enemies, you need to go left or right, some need to move backwards and some you can run at. Hope this helps.

I had problems with this until I actually read the booklet properly and realised I had to hold L1 aswell as push the analog stick to the side + O.

We wait it out. If we're still alive in the morning then we'll know we're .. not dead

Keep shooting at the enemy until it becomes enraged (the wavey/curvey lines appear above their head and they basically look really pissed off) and stand there WITH YOUR GUNS STILL DRAWN AND POINTING AT THE ENEMY but not shooting, and as it charges towards you, listen out for the "shoop" sound and roll in any direction (although left or right is best). Everything should turn blurry and in slow motion and two grey circles should appear. When the circles combine and make a "bleep" sound, that is your cue to start shooting. When done succesfully, it should take off a great deal of your enemy's health.

Thanks to everyone who replied but I have to say it was the person who said about changing the target lock to advanced toggle which really helped.

The reason I could not for the life of me complete this was because I needed to change this setting. The minute I did, I mastered it straightaway.
