call me crazy but this is a remake of Devil in Miss. Jones

You know..the Georgina Spelvin flick! In that movie, Ms Jones shunned the carnal world for the sake of getting into heaven, found she couldn't live happily under the isoloation of such demands, killed herself with a razor, then discovered she was going to hell anyway because of the suicide! Whereupon she asks for and is provided a repreve before condemation...another day of life, but one devoted exclusively to lust in every capable style.

The Guitar: Decent, upwardly mobile lady gets fired, dumped and told she's gonna croak. All this happening after living a relatively conservative, proper life as a veggie, social minded yuppie. So when she realizes that her propriety availed her naught, she chucks it all and lives vicariously...robbery, gluttony, adultry, self-mindedness...as an I've-got-it-coming gesture.

"social minded yuppie"? Really?

Melody worked in a cubicle, it was, most likely, a dead end office job. She lived in a dreary, probably way over priced, basement apartment in Manhattan, I'd hardly call the character of Melody a Yuppie by any stretch of the imagination!

Her background appeared to be working class from upstate NY, not the makings of a typical Manhattan Yuppie!
