Shock and awe

But once again this sexist joke of a show got it wrong. You can NOT tell a transsexual woman from a cis woman by comparing index and ring finger lengths. It's total *beep* just like the homophobic transphobic garbage show that ran this segment. I'm sure the sexist jerks that love a repugnant "Comedy" show will just dismiss me as another "humorless feminist", but then those are the worthless idiots this show is designed for, stupid sexist jerks who will believe any crap they think can score them a hot chick and avoid "accidentally sleeping with a man".

I got 50 women, 20 trans women, and 15 men I know to hold up their hands for me. MANswers insists you can tell transwomen from cis women because "real" womens index fingers are supposedly longer than their ring fingers. Their supposed medical expert swore to this up and down.

Guess what?

The 15 men had longer index fingerd, so according to Spike TV they're all secretly women. As for the women and transwomen? All but TWO of the 70 total had longer ring fingers, including me. And the two who had longer index fingers were both cis women, NOT trans women. They were however butch lesbuians.

Any guy stupid enough to believe the garbage this show teaches them deserves all the painful humiliation they get.

You really shouldn't take this show so seriously. It's not meant to be used as an encyclopedia or even a replacement for Mythbusters. It's supposed to be funny. That's all. And it's not just guys that enjoy this show. I, as a 20-year-old woman, also enjoy this show. I find it quite humorous. Sure, it might be a little sexist, but nobody forced the women to appear on the show. They chose to and probably made a lot of money doing it. Yes, some guys do see the world and women like it is depicted in this show, but then again, you don't have to date those guys. Just relax and take the show for what it is. It's just entertainment. You don't have to watch it.

Sure, it might be a little sexist

It's not, because...

nobody forced the women to appear on the show.

Aw I see. Sorry. I was just going down the (extremely small) list of posts and rather then go back to her post, I just hit the reply button on your post. *Shrugs* Laziness.

that is some of the worst logic i've ever read in my life.... WTF??? how does that make the show NOT sexist? women can partake in sexism voluntarily OR involuntarily... and so can men.

By definition, sexism is (wikipedia): Sexism, also known as gender discrimination or sex discrimination, is the application of the belief or attitude that there are characteristics implicit to one's gender that indirectly affect one's abilities in unrelated areas. It is a form of discrimination or devaluation based on a person's sex, with such attitudes being based on beliefs in traditional stereotypes of gender roles.

how does this show NOT characterize things/people/etc based on gender roles? the fact that the women act the way they do , and they are on the show IS mostly what makes it sexist....
